We’re proud to announce that The EdTech Awards 2021, presented by EdTech Digest, has named disruptED as one of the finalists in its Cool Tool Awards VR/AR category.

Celebrating its 11th year, The EdTech Awards is the largest recognition program in all of education technology, honoring the biggest names in edtech worldwide. The annual program shines a spotlight on cool tools, inspiring leaders and innovative trendsetters across the K-12, Higher Education, and Skills and Workforce sectors.

“This is a really big honor for disruptED, and it validates all of the hard work and resources that we’ve dedicated to our product and mission,” disruptED founder & CEO Kate Peiler said. “We envision a world where children of all learning types can thrive thanks to interactive AR and VR learning tools.”

This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including: pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value and potential.

“The worldwide pandemic put education and training to the test, but remote learning and working—in many unexpected ways—ultimately brought us closer,” said Victor Rivero, who as Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest, oversees the program. “After a year like no other—to all those innovators, leaders, and trendsetters in K-12, higher ed, and workforce learning staying connected, productive, persistent, and getting us closer despite all challenges: we salute you.”

Launched in 2017, disruptED assembled a world-class team of experts to be part of reimagining the education landscape and creating the future of learning by providing groundbreaking and immersive AR and VR tools for early learners. Since a one-size-fits-all approach to learning has proven to be ineffective, disruptED is committed to products that make learning more fun and interactive showing that an immersive approach is a more natural way for everyone to learn.
